Project Type: Flagship Store Design
ARC 981 - Junior Independent Work Gisela Baurmann (Büro NY)
Through the use of topology, section-cuts, and surface analysis of a running shoe, a new flagship store had to be designed. Amelia Toro's first outpost outside of her native Colombia had to be a distinct powerful marketing statement that successfully introduced her clothing line to the U.S. Her designs incorporate native Colombian patterns into the collection, the latter, paired with the exploration of surfaces and topology, allowed for a design that literally "braids" program through the store and into the High Line park.
